Alan Sostek

As a Director for Columnar Commercial, Alan is responsible for all sourcing, due diligence, capital formation, and closing aspects of acquisition and development opportunities. Alan also plays an integral role in business plan execution across all Columnar companies. Alan’s career spans multiple aspects of commercial real estate including financing/credit, private equity funds, integrated platforms, and development. Alan previously was a Vice President at ICONIQ Capital, where he contributed to the formation of a $2B GAV, 3,400-unit multifamily portfolio and next-generation property management company. Prior to ICONIQ, Alan was an Associate at Rockpoint Group, where he deployed $500M of equity through Rockpoint’s value-add and core-plus strategies with a focus on office, hotel, & retail across West Coast markets. Alan began his career in the real estate financing and investment banking division of Goldman Sachs in NYC. Alan holds a B.S. in Economics with Real Estate and Finance concentrations from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.
